Dr Tyson Welzel has held governance, strategy, innovation and clinical leadership roles across health systems in Switzerland, the UAE and Southern Africa. As a member of the Group Executive Committee of Mediclinic Group, he took group-level responsibility for strategy, digital transformation and innovation, and secured Executive Committee and main Board approval for a long-term innovation plan. He founded Acuvera in July 2025, an advisory to healthcare organisations on strategy, governance and operations, with offices in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Mauritius. He has completed the INSEAD International Directors Programme, with conferral in November 2026.
